The JA Malta Foundation is thrilled to announce that its team, ReMind, has won the prestigious “Best Sales Team” Award at the International Student Company Festival hosted by JA Latvia. Representing Malta with distinction, the students from Verdala International School showcased their exceptional sales skills and innovative thinking. The team was accompanied to Latvia by Rachel Cassar, JA Malta Operations Manager, and Naila Neymatova, a representative from Verdala International School, underscoring the invaluable support from educators in nurturing future business talents.

ReMind were also nominated for another two awards: Best Socially Responsible Business and Best Stand Display Awards. The team also won their category’s pitching competition.

This remarkable achievement marks the second consecutive participation and win for JA Malta at this international event, demonstrating the consistent excellence and dedication of Maltese students on the international stage. Matthew Caruana, CEO of JA Malta, expressed his profound satisfaction with this consecutive win, stating, “Securing an award at the International Student Company Festival for the second year is a clear indication of the exceptional talent, commitment, and innovative spirit of our students. This victory not only celebrates their hard work but also the impactful mentorship and guidance provided through JA Malta’s programmes.

In a generous move, all proceeds generated by Team ReMind will be donated to the Malta Dementia Society, showcasing the team’s commitment to social responsibility and community support. This decision highlights the compassionate and altruistic values that JA Malta instills in young entrepreneurs, emphasising the importance of giving back to the community.

JA Malta remains dedicated to inspiring and equipping young individuals to excel in a global economy, with a strong focus on entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and workplace readiness. The foundation is eagerly anticipating its upcoming StartUp Programme for students aged 18-30, offering a chance to win a €10,000 grant to help turn entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

“Our aim at JA Malta is to create a bridge between academic learning and real-world business challenges, providing young individuals with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive,” added Caruana. “The success of Team ReMind and their thoughtful contribution to the Malta Dementia Society exemplify the profound impact young entrepreneurs can have on society and the economy.”

JA Malta congratulates Team ReMind, their mentors, and everyone involved in this outstanding achievement and their meaningful contribution to the community. The Lativa trip was made possible thanks to Hili Ventures and HSBC Malta Foundation.
