JA Malta Celebrates Elenya Spiteri's European Entrepreneurship Success with MediLert
JA Malta is proud to celebrate the achievement of young Maltese entrepreneur Elenya Spiteri, founder and CEO of MediLert, who has been named the winner of the AmCham EU Youth Entrepreneurship Award 2026, a recognition celebrating young entrepreneurs driving innovation and positive change across Europe.
Elenya's journey reflects the power of youth entrepreneurship and perseverance. Having first participated in JA Malta's StartUp Programme in 2025, she later represented Malta at the European entrepreneurship festival GenE.
Inspired by the challenges faced by her grandparents in managing complex medication schedules, MediLert was developed as a smart medication management solution designed to support adults and caregivers through automated dispensing, monitoring, and reminder systems. Today, the venture continues to evolve from a promising idea into a market-ready solution addressing a major healthcare challenge.
Elenya's latest success follows months of dedication and collaboration with mentors and stakeholders who have believed in the potential of both the entrepreneur and the solution she is building. Her achievement stands as a testament to the impact that entrepreneurship education and a strong support ecosystem can have on young people pursuing innovative ideas.
