Under-18 Business Initiative Gains National Spotlight
Our Under-18 Business Initiative has already captured attention, being featured on the front page of Kulhadd and discussed on the TV show Bil-Fatti.
This initiative is designed to equip young people with practical business skills before the age of 18, fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and employability nationwide. By giving students early exposure to business concepts, financial literacy, and problem-solving, the initiative aims to prepare the next generation of young leaders and innovators.
The media coverage reflects the growing excitement around this programme and highlights its potential to make a lasting impact on Malta’s youth and economy. We look forward to seeing how young participants turn their ideas into action and shape a brighter, entrepreneurial future.
JA Students Gain First-Hand Insights at European Parliament Visit
Between 12 and 14 November, over 30 students visited Brussels to take part in an exciting European Parliament visit, gaining first-hand insights into EU decision-making.
During the trip, students had the unique opportunity to meet and engage with President Roberta Metsola, MEP Thomas Bajada, and MEP Agius Peter, who shared their experiences and inspired the next generation of young leaders.
This visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to understand European institutions and the role they play in shaping policy that affects citizens across the continent.

ALMUNI STORIES
From Insight to Impact: European Alumni Explore Leadership at ThinkTank
ThinkTank: Leadership done and dusted. Earlier this month, the Alumni community held a ThinkTank on Leadership. But that’s not what made this ThinkTank special. The special thing about it was that the ThinkTank on Leadership had some of the most influential European Alumni leaders in attendance, from European board members to regional coordinators and board members.
They discussed, understood, and redefined the meaning of what it is to be a leader, providing a space for people from all walks to come and learn about leadership, mainly within the voluntary organisation sector. This rendition of ThinkTank marked our 3rd event in the ongoing series, raising the bar once again for the next edition later this year.
Special thanks to the long-term sponsors The Malta Food Agency and The European Union Solidarity Corps, and our event sponsor Bolt. It is because of you that they are capable of creating such impactful and engaging events that grow our network and enhance financial and entrepreneurial literacy.
ALAE 2025: Building Bridges Across Europe’s Alumni Networks
ALAE, a weekend-long event spanning from Friday, 7th November to Sunday, 9th November, brought together Alumni leaders from all over Europe for a weekend of discussion, innovation, and growth. This weekend laid the groundwork for community development and collaboration over the next 5 years. While official discussions were held, arguably more important were the unofficial conversations that helped create bridges between European Alumni communities and strengthen existing networks.
A huge thank you to our sponsors: The Malta Food Agency, The European Union Solidarity Corps, and Bolt your contributions and support make what we do possible. Special thanks to the JA Malta Foundation for providing the necessary support and contacts to undertake European initiatives and projects such as this one.
