JA Malta is looking for a driven and self-motivated Media & Communications Officer to join our energetic team.

JA Malta, formerly known as Young Enterprise, is a member of the global Junior Achievement (JA) Worldwide network. Our mission is to strengthen Malta’s economic development by empowering young people through business, economics, employability, and entrepreneurship education. Key Responsibilities
 
  • Social Media Management: Plan, create, and schedule content for JA Malta’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok accounts.
  • Communications & PR: Craft engaging newsletters, press releases, and updates. Liaise with partners, sponsors, teachers, policy makers, and students to maintain strong relationships.
  • Content Creation: Develop and edit videos, graphics, and marketing materials using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, DaVinci, or Canva.
  • Brand Visibility: Grow JA Malta’s audience by devising effective strategies to reach various stakeholders and highlight JA’s work in Malta.
  • Events & Sessions: Be flexible to work during occasional evening or Saturday events, planned well in advance.
  • International Engagement: Coordinate with international counterparts within the JA Worldwide network to share resources and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with our small, dynamic team on special initiatives and campaigns, ensuring our brand is represented in the best way possible.
  • Community Building: Work closely with the JA Malta collaborators and alumni to manage activities and initiatives building a strong community of supporters and a network of like minded individuals.
 
What We’re Looking For
 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent command of both English and Maltese, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable communicating with diverse groups including youth, teachers, parents, corporate partners, and policy makers.
  • Video & Graphic Editing Skills: Proficient in software such as Adobe, CapCut, DaVinci, or Canva.
  • Self-Motivated & Team Player: Positive attitude, capable of working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid Driving License: You may occasionally need to travel for events or meetings.
  • Growth Mindset: Eager to learn, take on new challenges, and explore opportunities to manage communications volunteers or interns over time.
