Following their success at the JA Malta Awards and Finals Night, winning student teams Simplex and MediMynd have embarked on an intensive journey of growth and preparation ahead of Gen-E 2025, Europe’s largest entrepreneurship festival. Since their victory, both teams have been working closely with the Bajada Group, benefiting from expert mentoring and strategic guidance as they refine their business concepts and prepare to represent Malta on the European stage.
JA Malta extends its sincere thanks to Bajada Group for supporting the continued development of these young entrepreneurs beyond the Finals, helping them grow into confident, capable ambassadors of innovation.
In recognition of their achievements and potential, the teams were honoured with meetings with Malta’s highest national leaders earlier this month.
On 9th June, student representatives from Simplex and MediMynd were welcomed by the Prime Minister of Malta, who praised their creativity, innovation, and commitment to excellence. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to nurturing youth entrepreneurship and highlighted the crucial role of initiatives like JA Malta in preparing young people for the future.
Just days later, on 12th June, the students were received by Her Excellency the President of Malta, who commended their accomplishments and encouraged them to continue striving for positive change through innovation, sustainability, and leadership. The meeting celebrated their success and recognised their role as young ambassadors for Malta in the European entrepreneurship arena.
Matthew Caruana, CEO of JA Malta Foundation, commented:
“We are incredibly proud of Simplex and MediMynd and the journey they’ve undertaken since winning the Finals. Our partnership with the Bajada Group and the national recognition they’ve received highlight the real impact of youth entrepreneurship. These young leaders are not only preparing to represent Malta, but they are also preparing to shape its future.”
JA Malta remains committed to empowering youth through experiential learning programmes that foster entrepreneurship, financial capability, and work readiness.
