In support of its ongoing efforts to equip young people and adult learners with future-ready skills in the retail sector, Junior Achievement Malta Foundation has been awarded funding through the NGO Co-Financing Fund (NCF), managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) and supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector (MIV).
This fund plays a crucial role in supporting the co-financing obligations of Voluntary Organisations benefitting from EU funding. Through this support, JA Malta will further strengthen its implementation of the Skills4Retail project, an EU-funded initiative that forms part of a broader skills strategy and vocational education and training (VET) programme tailored to the retail and wholesale sectors.
Skills4Retail addresses urgent market and industry needs by bridging the digital skills gap and equipping workers with the tools needed for a dynamic and sustainable future in retail. The project supports youth, potential and current workers in the retail sector through innovative training and work-based learning, all aligned with the demands of a rapidly evolving sector.
Thanks to the NGO Co-Financing Fund, JA Malta can continue delivering high-impact, EU-level initiatives at the local level, reinforcing its mission to prepare young people for the future of work while contributing to the broader national and European vision for upskilling and sustainability.
