The JA Europe Leadership Summit 2025, held from March 17th to 20th in Montenegro, brought together leaders from across the JA network to collaborate, exchange ideas, and shape the future of JA. Key discussions focused on strengthening fundraising efforts, driving growth, innovating learning experiences, and amplifying global visibility through a unified brand. This summit provided a valuable opportunity for collective input and co-creation within the JA Europe network, laying the foundation for strategic priorities in the coming years.
CEO Matthew Caruana’s Reflection on the Summit:
Matthew Caruana, CEO of JA Malta, attended the summit and shared his reflections on the experience. He said, “In the midst of ongoing geopolitical turmoil across Europe and beyond, it was both grounding and energising to come together as part of the European JA Network to collaborate and strengthen the OneJA movement. We explored the future of education in the age of AI, reflected on the geopolitical shifts impacting our societies and youth, and shared ways to support peers in countries affected by the suspension of USAID funding. Looking ahead with optimism, we engaged in a strategy refresh exercise—an important step in shaping our shared future. This was also one of my last meetings as the Chair of the Board of Executives, and it remains both a pleasure and an honour to lead these sessions among such passionate, like-minded individuals, all committed to driving real impact for young people across Europe.”
