For three days, JA Malta hosted 15 teachers from 11 European countries; Albania, Cyprus, Estonia, Georgia, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Spain, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Slovenia.

The participants took part in a Train the Trainer programme focused on Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Education, aimed at equipping them with the knowledge and tools to train at least 10 more teachers in their respective countries. Throughout the sessions, participants were encouraged to work with their own learning situations and use the OECD framework to embed financial literacy and entrepreneurship competencies into their teaching practices.

Beyond the classroom, the teachers also had the chance to explore Malta through a cultural ferry tour and immerse themselves in the island’s heritage. The visit concluded with their participation in JA Malta’s Financial Capability Conference: “Together for Financial Wellbeing.”

This initiative was funded by JA Europe as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen financial and entrepreneurial education.
